Стекловата
Steklovata (Russian: Стекловата - fiberglass) is a Russian boy band consisting of leading vocalists Denis Belikin (Денис Беликин) and Artur Yeremeyev (Артур Еремеев). Produced by Sergei Kuznechov (Сергей Кузнецов), who in 1999 recruited a then 13 year old Belikin to the project. Shortly thereafter Yeremeyev was signed, and Steklovata released two albumswithout achieving great success partly due to the lack of sponsors. In 2002, the band reached the top of the Russian charts in Estonia.
Steklovata is part of the "Ласковый Май" ("Gentle May"), a trend that exploded with the decay of the Soviet Empire. It was a commercial initiative in which a producer created a band with pre-pubescent boys, often orphans.
