ぱすぽ☆
PASSPO☆ are a 10 member group from Akihabara that formed in May 2009 and officially debuted in July of 2009. The ten members were chosen from an audition of nineteen girls and their first live; what they call “flights” was on December 20, 2009. They have a unique concept that centers around the theme of them being flight attendants with their tickets being called “passports” and have a frequent flyer system to encourage their fans to keep coming back to see them. As of September 2010 they have had over 60 stages.
Passpo is rather different than other girl idol groups in Japan as their youngest member is fifteen and the oldest is only eighteen. Not only are the girls closer in age, but their music has a bit more of a “rock” feel to it. In March of 2010 Passpo had released there first single ” Let it Go!” and the second single ” Hallelujah” coming out a few weeks later.
Since then they have released three other singles and a full album named ” TAKE☆OFF”. Also on January 30th of 2011 Passpo announced that they have been signed to a major label and will make a major debut. The single was released on May 3rd with the title "Shoujo Hikou" in 11 different versions and landing them number on Oricon daily. The group has plans for a world tour and are attending Japan Expo 2011 in Paris, France. Read more on Last.fm.
