ルルティア
ルルティア (RURUTIA) is a female Japanese composer and singer-songwriter. Most of her music can be described as new age, experimental and electronica. She began her career in 2001 with the release of 'Itoshigo yo' with the label Toshiba-EMI. Due to the lack of freedom RURUTIA left Toshiba-EMI and signed over to the less known label, Phoerix Records, in mid-2005.
RURUTIA is an intensely private artist; most aspects of her life - such as her age and her real name - are not known to the public. This fact, added to her whispered vocals, creates a unique and mysterious atmosphere around her. Before the record change, RURUTIA also did not appear in public due to her contract. Since then, RURUTIA has made her first public appearance to promote her album, 'Chorion.'
Her pseudonym, Rurutia, comes from the word 'Rorotea,' meaning 'blissful rain' in Tahitian. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
