스텔라
(2011-2018) 스텔라 (Stellar) was a South Korean dance-pop all-girl quartet under The Entertainment Pascal (also known as Top Class Entertainment). The group debuted in 2011, and it's final lineup consisted of members Minhee (민희), Hyoeun (효은), Soyoung (소영), and Youngheun (영흔). On 25th February 2018, Stellar held its final fanmeeting which involved both current and former members. On the 26th, the official disbandment of the group was announced.
The group's initial lineup consisted of Gayoung (가영), Jeonyul (전율), Leeseul (이슬), and JoA (조아). In 2012, Leeseul and JoA departed the group, and were replaced by Minhee and Hyoeun. Soyoung was added to the group in May 2017, and in August 2017 Gayoung and Jeonyul departed the group. Youngheun was added to the group in the same month.
The group debuted with digital single "로켓걸 (ROCKET GIRL)" which was released in August 2011 and was produced by Eric, leader of Korean boy band Shinhwa. Later they released another two digital singles: "UFO" in 2012 and "공부하세요" in 2013.
On February 12, 2014, Stellar released their first extended play, "마리오네트 (Marionette)". The group received criticism for their 'stripping game' promotional material, which involved fans having to 'like' posts on Stellar's official Facebook page in order to reveal photos of the members' body parts. The group received further criticism for their '19+' music video and performances for Marionette. Despite the controversy, Marionette became their best selling single, peaking at 35 on Gaon and 34 on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 chart. On August 21, 2014, Stellar released their digital single "마스크 (Mask)".
On March 10, 2015, Stellar released their first single of 2015 with "멍청이 (Fool)", which was regarded as a much more mellow and "innocent" single compared to their last two releases. However, on July 19, 2015, the group returned to their controversy-stirring sexy concept with the digital single "떨려요 (Vibrato)".
On January 16, 2016, the group returned with their second mini album, 찔려 (Sting). This comeback was partially funded by a successful crowdfunding project they took part in hosted by Makestar. The project's goal was reached in three days, and ultimately reached 422% of its goal, raising $35,510. Stellar also held their first ever concert on April 22 of the same year. July 18 2016 saw the release of Stellar's seventh single, 펑펑울었어 (Crying). Produced by Brave Brothers, the song reached 16th on the Gaon Albums Chart. In December, Stellar held their second concert, "Stellar 2nd Concert: After Story" in Japan, along with their official Japanese debut & showcase.
In 2017 Stellar embarked on a tour of Brazil, becoming the first K-Pop girl group to do so. After a successful third makestar campaign, The Entertainment Pascal announced the addition of a fifth member to Stellar, Im Soyoung, on May 18. Read more on Last.fm.
