Арчер
Ivan Strelets (Иван Стрелец), better known as "Арчер", is a Russian blues-rock guitarist, harmonica player, singer and songwriter. "Blues is my soul; soul can't be sold. Music, as any other art, can only be given to the world". He made the free distribution of his recordings to be a main principle. "When nobody pays me money for my tracks, that gives me a freedom to do whatever I want with my music".
He started to write songs in 1991 using acoustic guitar in a Russian bardic style. Sometimes he still plays old songs using his acoustic guitar, performing like a bard, for his close friends.
Ivan's solo works use a rhythm machine that he programmed himself. He adds the solo guitar and the harmonica first and then covers with his vocals. His solo works alternate songs written by himself with instrumental improvisations.
Ivan also takes part in the Moscow blues-rock band "Port-Royal" ("Порт-Рояль"), whose former name is "Pecheniki" ("Печеньки"), as singer, solo guitarist and harmonica player. Read more on Last.fm.
