Массква
Masskva is a pseudonym of a Russian Pop Rock singer. The girl writes the texts to her songs on rehearsals, in the cafés, when using the public transport or just on the street because she finds her inspiration in people and their relations. Most of her songs are an autobiography but any listener finds something on her or his own.
Born in Novyj Urgenoi in 1988, Valeriya Gureeva changed her last name to Masskva. Lera had this nickname since her ambitions of moving in Moscow and used it as a pseudonym in her singing career. She moved to Moscow in 2002.
The next year, Masskva entered Moscow's First Institute of Law. In 2004, she collected her crew of musicians and performed in her first music video SMS-ная любовь which later aired on MTV and was featured in MTV's charts.
In 2005, Masskva got a permission to interpret Mumiy Troll's Медведица in Sochi's 5 Stars pop festival. After a while, this already quite famous girl won MTV's Best beginning of the year. In the end of 2005, the label Мегалайнер released her first album titled Массква. Its tracks 7 этаж and Ну наконец-то were promoted in music videos as well as on Russkoe Radio and on Europa Plus radio stations.
