Оргия Праведников
Russian progressive rock band formed in 1999. Originally, it was a fusion of Сергей Калугин (Sergey Kalugin) and an art-rock band ARтель ("ART'el"). The first album released was "Oglashennye Izydite" (Оглашенные изыдите) - 2001. The album was composed in a very original style, that differs the band from all other russian rock bands. The music consisted of elements of hard rock, progressive rock, orient folk music, barocco motives... And the poetry of Sergey Kalugin, also playing lead acoustic guitar, was a very great addition to this magical music. The second album "Dveri! Dveri!" (Двери! Двери!) released in 2005 was absolutely different from previous release - the music became more medievalistic and the sound of the band a bit changed. The central composition on the album (Prisutstvie/Присутсвие) lasts for 18 minutes and is the quintessention of band's work. It's a fusion of two songs by S. Kalugin - "Prisutstvie" itself and "Rakoviy Korpus" (Раковый Корпус).
