труд
As a rule, young Russian groups somehow prefer to be called and to sing in an awkward English, so «Труд» immediately becomes different with its simple, short and effective Russian name and same with the songs. The bassist, the drummer and the rhythm player are working as miners.
The lyrics of the songs come from the ghostly memories of Soviet childhood: a line of pioneering camp songs, and after - the horror stories you hear in the night ward. But the nostalgia for the Soviet childhood is not part of the groups concept, not an attempt to find its spectacular style, and not the nostalgia at all.
One of the «Труд» members, Kushnarenko, who studies science journalism at Moscow State University, remembers really little about the USSR: "We are not advocating the Soviet style or something like that, my attitude towards the Soviet communist system is negative, it was a cannibal order. But at the same time the great works of art were created, which are very close to me - I grew up on them - and they are part of me and, of course, have an influence on what I 'm doing".
