おニャン子クラブ
Onyanko Club (おニャン子クラブ, "Kitten Club") were a large J-pop idol group that debuted in 1985 with the single "Sailor Fuku o Nugasanaide". They were produced by Akimoto Yasushi. Some famous members of Onyanko Club included 工藤静香 (Kudou Shizuka), 吉沢秋絵 (Yoshizawa Akie), 河合その子 (Kawai Sonoko), and many others. Onyanko Club also had three subgroups: ニャンギラス (Nyangilas), うしろゆびさされ組 (Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi), and うしろ髪ひかれ隊 (Ushirogami Hikaretai).
Onyanko Club broke up in 1987, though they had a brief reunion in 2002. Their influence is still felt in the idol world today, especially in groups such as モーニング娘。 and AKB48.
