プー・ルイ
プー・ルイ (Pour Lui) is an indie pop-rock musician from Tokyo, Japan. She debuted in late 2009 when her first digital single 限られた時間の中で☆ (Kagirareta Toki no Naka de) was nominated to be released in a contest sponsored by Recochoku. This was followed up in early 2010 with her second digital single WHY?. Both digital singles were included on her debut mini-album みんなのプー・ルイ (Minna no Pour Lui), released on June 23rd, 2010, as well as the album's promotional single I'm coming!!.
Following the album, she announced her third digital single エレガントの怪物 (Elegant no Kaibutsu), a cover of a song by the band SPANK HAPPY, to be released on December 15th of the same year. Also revealed in the September ninth announcement was her decision to place her solo career on an indefinite hiatus: explaining that she'd always wanted to be in an idol group more than she wanted to sing on her own, she revealed that she would be personally auditioning members for the new unit she planned to front. The audition process was documented through Ustream and indie music news site OTOTOY, eventually culminating in the formation of four-member girl group BiS ("Brand-new idol Society") on December 5th. The group issued their first song 太陽のじゅもん (Taiyou no Jumon) as a free release through OTOTOY on January 15th, 2010.
