太平洋ベルト (Taiheiyou Belt) is the current band of グルグル映畫館's ex-bassist 吉川昌利 (Masatoshi Yoshikawa).
Dressed as sailors with shironuri makeup, influenced by the eroguro nonsense movement, they play fancy rock, which can be describes as a mix of rock, funny song and electronic.
Starting more like a Yoshikawa-centered band with quirky electronic dancing sounds, Taiheiyou Belt become more like a electro-rock full band since the third album, with new members adding others instruments.
They have released three albums and two live DVDs.
