森恵
Mori Megumi (森恵) is a Japanese pop singer-songwriter who made her indie debut in 2005 and her major debut in 2010 under the avex trax sub-label cutting edge. She is known for her street lives and performs over 300 days a year.
Mori Megumi began performing street lives in her hometown of Fukuyama at the age of 15, accompanying herself on acoustic guitar. In April 2005, she graduated from college and started focusing on street performances full-time. Her presence gradually spread by word-of-mouth and she was eventually featured in newspapers and on local television shows.
In December 2005, Mori signed with the indie label MULTI FORMAT STUDIO JAPAN and released her self-titled debut single, "megumi mori". She promoted the single with a concert in Hiroshima Kenmin Bunka Center with 500 people in attendance. In 2007, Mori traveled to Hawaii to film several PVs for her first DVD, megumi mori clips vol.1. During her stay, she held many street lives. Her second single, "Nemurenu Yoru", was released in June. The following year, Mori relocated to Tokyo and performed in live houses to promote her first album, Tsuzuite Yuku Hibi.
Mori's first mini-album, Soba ni, was released on March 25, 2009 under the avex trax indie sub-label Rhythm REPUBLIC. It was her first release available nationwide, and all the songs included on the mini-album were acoustic.
In 2010, Mori moved to avex trax major sub-label cutting edge. Her major debut single, "Kimi", was released on July 7. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
