福山雅治
Masaharu Fukuyama (born on February 6, 1969 in Nagasaki, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan), is a singer/songwriter, and has acted in many night-time Japanese dramas. Among fans, he is known as Masha.
Apart from composing drama OST, Fukuyama is best known for his singing career in Japan. He has 24 singles and 10 studio albums. Squall, Sakura Zaka, Niji are few of the songs that have made particular oustanding marks in Masaharu's career. Good night was his breakout single which gained a lot more audiences to his music because of its tie-up with a J-drama.
Fukuyama mostly composes and writes lyrics of the songs in his albums. In a recent interview he said "In music, if you are producing your own songs, you will need to be working alone most of the time. Composing, recording, pre-production, re-arrangement, slowly building up your song bit by bit, rebuilding as you finish it and then doing the same for each song one after another. It’s a very time-consuming process whichever way you look at it. "
