45rpm
Newcomer hip-hop trio 45RPM was originally created in 1999 in Daejeon, a barren land for hip-hop music. The trio is known as “a belated rookie” who released their first official album after performing 6 years in the underground music scene. 45RPM is receiving the spotlight from both national and cable broadcast channels only a month after their official debut in the local pop music scene. Supported by former Taiji Boys member Yang Hyun-seok and Lee Haneul of DJ DOC, 45RPM released their first album entitled “Old Rookie” with its title song “Likidong” gaining great popularity.
An official of 45RPM’s management agency YG Entertainment said that as of the end of May, 45RPM’s song “Likidong” was ranked among the top 10 of various local music charts including record sales charts. In particular, the trio is busy appearing on stages that focus on their artistic values as well as general popularity like “Yoon Do-hyun’s Love Letter” of KBS2 TV.
Lee Hyun-bae, the leader of the trio is the younger brother of Lee Haneul of DJ DOC. The two brothers showed off their brotherly affection on air on a television show when Lee Haneul joined the trio as a special DJ. Read more on Last.fm.
