60 Tigres
60 Tigres is a band formed in Monterrey, Mexico in 2005 with the idea of merging different styles onstage. Alejandro Elizondo (Guitar/Vocals), Roberto Polo (Bass/Vocals), José Miguel Polo (Drums/Backing vocals), Saverio Giandusa (Keys/Backing vocals) and Elias Marcos (Guitar/Backing vocals)create their own style merging foreign influences and alternating Spanish and English lyrics, trying to mirrow Mexico's everyday life.
In 2006 they record their demo "America", and perform in various venues in Monterrey's underground scene. In 2008 they decide to go and record “Los Emigrantes”, a better quality album. This album catapults 60 Tigres internacionally and makes them part of the line-up of festivals such as South By Southwest 2008 and 2009 (Austin, TX), MySpace Latino Festival (Chicago, IL), SPI Music Fest (Isla del Padre, TX), NACOTHEQUE (Houston, TX), Automático (Los Angeles, CA), and Hellow Fest (Monterrey, NL). Also, they start giging on bigger venues such as El Imperial (México, DF), The Compound (Austin, TX), The Mink (Chicago, IL), among others.
At the end of 2009 they start recording their 2nd album “Garage”, produced by Maurizio Terracina (ex-Zurdok, The Volture)
