Abi Bah
Abi Bah is a Producer / DJ from Stockholm, Sweden.
The following bio is from his website
For almost two decades numerous Swedish artists have established themselves globally as electronic music producers and performers, primarily in the techno and house arena. And while some of them have been mainstays throughout this period, others such as Stockholm resident Abi Bah have more recently been unveiled as part of a new wave of Swedish artists garnering attention beyond their nations borders.
Abi Bah acquired his first mixer and turntables at a young age and before long began building his studio and dabbling in production. As a teenager, he was heavily influenced by some of the techno heavyweights at the time including Jeff Mills and Dave Clarke, then later on by fellow compatriots such as Cari Lekebusch. Having gone to his first raveparty in 1991, it was only a year later that he was involved in organizing his own warehouse events, clearly enthralled with this newfound interest. This helped mark the beginning of his multi-faceted career in the music industry. Under the name Abi Lönnberg, his initial releases emerged in the first half of the last decade on an assortment of record labels including Arrival Works, Sheer Recordings, KGB, Illegal Stockholm, Spirit Fuel, Hybrid Productions, Audio Assault and Riot Plan. He has also collaborated on a handful of releases as a member of the NFL Kru, featured on Cari Lekebuschs label. His latest productions as Abi Bah also came out on H. Productions, with the titles Close to Zero, Just like You, Dolly Street, Alive and Get Out to name a few.
While scarce few would question that this past decade has seen notable shifts in the techno beats being produced, Abi Bah felt renewed inspiration in more recent years to produce dance music again. Clearly no stranger to the studio, after a hiatus from producing electronic music Abi Bah is now experiencing resurgence in his career with some recent releases getting airplay from a range of influential DJs including Carl Cox and the aforementioned Dave Clarke.
Simply put, Abi Bah describes his current style as 4/4 electronic dance music with a modern touch, which is not only descriptive of his latest productions but reflects his sound as a DJ as well. With plans to remain active in the studio and keep dancefloors moving both at home in Sweden and abroad, he will remain an emerging artist to watch. Read more on Last.fm.
