Acid Jacks
“Coloring the disco floor landscape in hues of awesomeness at the edge of insanity, the ACID JACKS sound has been described as “computers making sweet synthesized digital love whilst driving Ferraris on a beach, at night, in the future.”. In semi-live or DJ format, his magical club & festival stage performances are nothing short of radical to the power of incredible. ACID JACKS is no mere disco car wash for your eardrums, nor just some dirty one night ear sex - ACID JACKS is 2000 % Grade-A Dance Awesomeness. Did you say "Dance"? then you must be thinking: ACID JACKS .”
ACID JACKS is the current production and performance alias of Australian based Italian born artist / musical renegade Antonio Celestino. Standing beyond the forefront of the Australian dance community ACID JACKS is also a well recognizable name on the international dance music circuit - smashing out material on New York’s über hip label Trouble & Bass Recordings, running his own imprint Idiot House Records (visit Beatport to hear any of 50+ releases) and jerking out mixes, remixes & collaborations with super producers such as Boy 8-Bit, Goose, Drop The Lime, The Subs and MSTRKRFT, on labels across the gamut of dance music, including: Lektroluv, Citizen, Kitsune, Institubes, Skint and Ultra. Also having performed at some of the worlds biggest shows including Stereosonic, Creamfields, & Big Day Out festivals.
While most DJs are content to spend half their time scrounging for free drinks at after-parties full of nobodies, ACID JACKS has just come off the back of touring the latest mix compilation for ONELOVE SONY (he mixed alongside Calvin Harris), as well as releasing a mini album of experimental electro, acid & techno on his own label (Idiot House) and once again proving he is not afraid to ride the gauntlet of cutting edge dance music: recently setting Miami on fire with his currently massive original track Yoko Mono – a combination of French touch stabs, old school house grooves & driving tek percussion out on Riva Starr’s ultra cool Snatch label - heralded as a true ”Festival Banger” when it debuted exclusively on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. It’s safe to say that while others were sleeping, the future started for ACID JACKS.
Simply put, be it in the role of producer, label boss, heavy-bass house astronaut, eco warrior or deep space techno explorer - ACID JACKS explodes all over your scene with a full blown assault on your sex sensors - destroying everything you think you know about dance music with his own army of fantastic journey techno noises! The war is over, man. The future won!
