He started to play violin at he age of 9. His teacher was MRs. Grazyna Wasilewska.
The first funky band Adam composed with Tomek Zyrmont and Przemek Szulc. For two years he co-operated with Michal Wroblewski, till 2001. At the Jazz Workshop in Chodziez Adam created the group "Up to Date" with Rafal Stepien, Kuba Cywinski and Bartek Rojek. The band started to win awards and play in many many scenes and festivals. After one concert Adam was invited to the group "Squad" (Marek Raduli, Wojtek Olszak, Wojtek Pilichowski i Tomek losowski)
Instead of playing with Up to Date, he gets invited to other groups and creates his own bands to show off his other interests in music.
He performed with: Billy Cobham, Didier Labbe Quartet, Eldad Tarmu Quartet ( tour in Poland in 2003, in Serbia and Hungary in 2004 ), Nigel Kennedy, Luluk Purwanto (Indonesia, Poland), Monty Waters (Gorzow), Brad Terry, Marek Raduli, Wojtek Pilichowski and many others.
In 2006 after winning Grand Prix and The Individual Prize for The Best Instrumentalist of Jazz nad Odra (one of the most prestigious jazz festivals in Poland), Adam started his cooperation with Piotr Zaczek. With Grzegorz Jablonski, Maciej Kocinski, Marcin Gorny, Robert Luty and special guests- Kuba Badach and Anna Szarmach, Adam recorded CD called ‘Mutru’. Just after its appearing, it was called the most crucial jazz CD in a decade. The premiere of the band took place on JVC Festival (Jazz Jamboree) in the Congress Hall. Mutru played before Meshell N’degeocello and Richard Bona.
A brand new Adam’s project is Storyboard band with David Yengibarjan- special guest, an Armenian accordionist, and a string orchestra. This music connects jazz with classical and oriental music.
Storyboard had its debut in 2006 in Gorzow’s theatre during Independent Day’s events. The group gained an approval of Gorzow’s audience.

The newes project of Adam Baldych is Damage Control.
Damage Control is a modern quartet presenting a refined
combination of jazz music with fusion.
The band consists of four extraordinarily creative artists:
Adam Baldych– electric violin
Pawel Tomaszewski – keyboards
Piotr Zaczek – bass
Cezary Konrad – drums
The music of Damage Control is a extremely expressive
combination of modern musical flows. It leaves a great deal of emotion
with the listeners. The virtuosity, which is the trademark of the artists
forming the band, make the concerts a unique sight full of energy,
youthful zing, but also a mature sound, that recieves popularity and
respect both from the audience, as from the critics.
The Damage Control
first album will be realized this autumn, from which
the few tracks you can hear on this site.
Nowadays, Adam is a scholar of prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston and a student of Jazz Department of Music Academy in Katowice in Henryk Gembalski’s class.
