Afrique
Afrique were one of many bands to try to cash-in on the demand for Manu Dibango's classic, 'Soul Makossa' when it crossed over as a huge international hit in 1973. Their's was one of the better efforts and the album is a considered a jazz-funk classic. They are made up of a group of great Mainstream session musicians including acid-jazz organist supreme, Charles Kynard.
