Akustik Rauš
Akustik Rauš is a Czech musical group from Valašské Meziříčí, which plays folk and rock. It formed from the original group Rauš. The front-man of the band, Radek Koutný, was a member of the band Mňága a Žďorp from 1990-1997.
The group had concerts with Mňága and change was brought about with cooperation with the Irish band The Frames. The producer of the first official album, Šrámy, was the front-man of The Frames, Glen Hansard. They recorded the album together with adept sound artist, Rob Bochnik.
Changes in the formation of the band in the following year directed Rauš to its current acoustic style. A rock foundation, folk melodies, and urgent lyrics with understandable topics – those are the basic ingredients of today’s musical trio. The new atmosphere in the band is created by the accordion player Roman Vavřík, who successfully plays concerts with folklore beat band Docuku, and the drummer Tomáš Borovička.
Akustik Rauš recorded the awaited album “Ujedem spolu” in the summer of 2006. The fact that the new arrangement suits Rauš is confirmed by the influential texts which the band was not afraid to search for not only in the poems of Jan Skácel and Václav Hrabě. The quieting down of the music and the story-like lyrics transferred the songs of Akustik Rauš towards a more perceptive audience.
