Andy Anderson
Born near Clarksdale,Mississipi,his first band formed at Mississippi State University in 1954 & was called "The Rolling Stones" members included Joe Tubb,Cuz Covington,Bobby Lyon,James Aldridge & Roy Estes.Local fame made them go to The Sun recording studios & pay for a recording session which included JOHNNY VALENTINE & TOUGH,TOUGH,TOUGH.Sam Phillips turned them down. However London Records did sign them approx 1957.
After service in the Army the band continued until 1959 when they split. A new band called THE DAWN BREAKERS was formed which had a minor hit with "Gimmie A LOCK OF YOUR HAIR" a song about Elvis losing his hair when he did his US Army Basic Training.
