Anticappella
Anticappella was a mysterious band. Who was Anticappella? It was a project with Gianfranco Bortolotti at the steering wheel.
The first and one of the most powerful tracks from Anticappella is "2√231", an instrumental, which became a major hit in 1991. Not a year later the song "Everyday" got it's release, unfortunately it didn't do well except for the southern Europe club scene.
In 1993 the songs "I Wanna Love You" and "Movin' To The Beat" were released. They both did quite well, especially out of Europe. But the biggest hit to date from Anticappella is still "Move Your Body", a song featuring MC Fixx It, a rapper from Holland who also worked with Twenty 4 Seven before. It reached almost all the charts in all the European Countries. The videoclip was shot in a factory and gave this song the right boost.
In 1995 the somewhat dissapointed "Express Your Freedom" made it to a single release in a few countries. It only reached some dance charts in the UK, Scandinavia and Italy.
Then only in the UK "2√231 / Move Your Body" the 1996 Remixes came out. "2√231" became again a club hit in the UK.
A few years go by and suddenly in 1998 a new track from Anticappella called "Get Faster" is released, and how odd that people were telling there was a new song from Anticappella but only months after it got on sale. After this debacle Media Records decided not to bring Anticappella back to life.
