BLAM HONEY
Blam Honey is a gothic-industrial Japanese band that originally lasted from sometime in 1995 to late 2000, consisting of Tatsuya(Formerly ViRTU PSYCHO MARE Vocalist) (Vocals, Guitar, Percussion) and Ryonai (Programming/Synths and Synth Guitar). Blam Honey have had a significant influence over many Industrial bands in Japan today. In 2008, after a 7 year break, Ryonai has reformed Blam Honey and released a memorial CD Providence of Decadence and performed a one night memorial live then decided to continue with the project.
Blam Honey released 2 Demo tapes (THE HORSE BREAKER ELECTRONIC BRAIN & THE HORSE BREAKER ELECTRONIC ANGEL) and a live only single (THE OTHER SIDE OF ELECTRONIC BRAIN) which quickly sold out. Around this time they were also becoming extremely popular among their fans.
In 1998 they released a mini album entitled 'GRANDIOSE DELUSION', containing their more popular tracks, including 'RINK', 'HYPER AESTHESIA', & 'TRANCEPERENT SKY'. They released a maxi-single entitled 'ARTIFICIAL DELUSION' soon after, which contained 3 tracks from GRANDIOSE DELUSION that had been remixed, as well as a new track, entitled 'FLY TO FLIER'.
Around this time they also released a video entitled 'INDUSTRIAL GENDER UNIT BLAM HONEY' which was limited to 500 copies. It is unknown as to whether or not the video contained any sort of promotional videos, but it contained the tracks 'RINK', 'NELUHUS VAGUS', and another song '...wich fly in the air' that was never on any release of any sort besides this video.
In August of the next year, they released their first full-album debut, 'Typical Ingeniousness ~suggest~' after they had signed major to NIPPON CROWN, which included artists such as Gackt.. It contained 9 tracks, separated in a pattern. Every other track was instrumental, starting with the first. The album consisted of five short instrumentals and four full songs, with the exception of 'SUSPECT', which, if it had followed the pattern, would have had written words, but didn't.
Ryonai has begun activities again with his long-time project, Suppurate System.
In 2008, Ryonai announced on the Official Blam Honey site that Tatsuya had died four years earlier of acute leukemia.
Ryonai is also the live keyboardist for GPKISM and provides them with accessories from Suppurate System. Ryonai updated with a notice to fans that he planned to resume activities of BLAM HONEY to carry out Tatsuya's intentions for BLAM HONEY and Ryonai is releasing BLAM HONEY's new Memorial CD "Providence of Decadence". The pre-sale was at the memorial live show on 7th of july 2009. Ryonai personally signed the CDs who bought them. The CD contains covers and remixes of BLAM HONEY songs by artists such as GPKISM, KALM and Noir du'Soleil
