Bantu
1. Hailing from Zimbabwe, Bantu’s music and visuals reflect his multicultural background, with a collage of infectious sounds, rhythms, and stories. Bantu premiered his first track as an artist in 2016 with his single “Holiday,” an uptempo love song that fused bright electronic club sounds with African rhythms. Since then, he released his first EP “Africa for the Summer” in 2017, including his single “Roll With Me.”
This summer, Bantu is gearing up for the release of his second EP, “Africa for the Summer 2,” a continuation of his signature tribal, upbeat, and rhythmic sound. “Just a Little,” his first single from his latest EP already has gained traction; it is currently featured in the Netflix hit series “On My Block. His latest release, “Jackie Chan,” is an upbeat danceable track that features his frequent collaborator and friend Dr. Chaii, who also is from Zimbabwe. The two teamed up together for this summer feel-good track, a nice introduction for what else is to come on EP 2!
