Barry Goudreau
Barry Goudreau played guitar for Boston, appearing on the band's first two albums. After Boston's second album and tour, Goudreau recorded a solo album featuring two other members of Boston: singer Brad Delp and drummer Sib Hashian. Future Boston singer Fran Cosmo also sang on the album, trading lead vocals with Delp.
Goudreau's guitar on the album often duplicated Boston's sound, which Boston leader Tom Scholz had always said was his own creation and that Goudreau only had a minor role on the Boston albums. After Goudreau's album was released in 1980, Scholz fired Goudreau from Boston. The album peaked at #88 on the Billboard chart and the lead single, "Dreams," stalled at #103.
Goudreau went on to be a member of Orion the Hunter and RTZ. He also recorded albums as a duo with Delp. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
