Billy Mack
Before starting his own solo music career as a singer/songwriter and entertainer, this Florida native sang and played lead guitar with some of the best musicians that music has to offer. At an early age Billy started playing drums and would often listen and jam with his father and fellow musicians playing Hank Williams Sr, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Elvis and various blues artists such as Johnny Lee Hooker. Although he enjoyed playing drums Billy’s true desire was to play the guitar. At the age of sixteen he got his first guitar and by the time he was seventeen Billy was already playing lead guitar for a southern rock band. During this time he was heavily influenced by the sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Allman Brothers, The Outlaws and the Marshall Tucker Band. He went on to play with several bands before he started his own blues/rock band in which he discovered his talent for singing and song writing. At this time Billy’s influences were Mack King, Eric Clapton, Frank Marino, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Guy. This inevitably led to a solo career that shines on today.www.billymackmusic.com Read more on Last.fm.
