Brothers of Peace
Brothers Of Peace was created in 1993 as a small project between Don Laka, Oscar "Wa batho" Mdlongwa and Christos. In 1994, the band changed members, leaving Mdlongwa but adding Bruce "Dope" Sebitlo, an excellent studio producer in South Africa. The duo began recording and soon released a debut album called Traffic Cop, which sold 50,000 copies. Widely praised by critics, Brothers Of Peace released another album, King Of Kwaito Uyagawula in 1996. Mdlongwa, a deejay for various radio stations in South Africa, became more adept at rapping during this time. In 1998, the group released Mapodisa-SBV which featured various rappers known as Bafitihle. In 2002, the group signed to Columbia Records and released two different albums.
