Built Upon Frustration
To make it short.....Forming in early '97, Built Upon Frustration hit the Pittsburgh scene hard. A successful 2 song demo caught the ears of Da'Core Records and the band signed on. Da'Core released Built Upon's first full length titled "Low Life Crew". After a successful 2 year run, the band unfortunately broke up and guitarist Derek Kovacs went on to join PAHC legends No Retreat (www.da-core.com for more info). In 2001, guitarist Eric Klinger (Pro-Pain/Spudmonsters) and Kovacs decided to colaborate on a new project. After wasting entirely too much time deciding on a name, it just made sense to bring back Built Upon Frustration. The line up would include original singer Jason Hominsky, Kovacs, Klinger, bassist Josh Seanor and drummer Keith Hurka. The band was soon in the studio recording its punishing follow up "Resurrected". Hominsky and Hurka left the band in 2004 and were replaced with drummer Mike Papariella and vocalist Joe Bonaddio. Built Upon Frustration is now ready to release it's third full length "The Book of Mourning" which will no doubt be one of the most pulverizing albums known in the realm of heavy music.
