Bulgara
Bulgara is a Bulgarian band, mixing drum'n'bass, funk and broken beat to emphasize the harmonic beauty of Bulgarian folklore. The band was established in 2002 by Kostadin Genchev (kaval) and Kiril Dobrev (drums). The other members of the band are Stoyan Pavlov (percussion), Petyo Petrov (bagpipe), Dimiter Hristov (tamboura), Chavdar Asenov (bass) and Darinka Tsekova (rebeck). The band has composed music for the theatrical staging of the ethno performance "The wild" and the film "Beyond the line".
The most famous album of the band is Mecha Svatba (Bear's wedding), containing the pilot single The Wild One(Divoto). The music video for the single is made by Ivan Russev (Arny) bringing him the Jameson award for animation on Sofia Film Fest 2003. Read more on Last.fm.
