Cam Nacson
== Bio ==
Cam Nacson was born on 7 April 1991 in Sydney. From an early age Cameron's memory retention for lyrics was what really blew people away. At 3 he could sing the Australian Twelve Days of Christmas--all the verses!!
He was very shy and quiet as a boy, and a deep-thinker--but, much to the surprise of his parents, when he was under nine Cam entered a talent quest at a popular holiday park. It was his first ever performance and he chose to sing Vanessa Amorosi's "Shine". It was like he was born to perform, and he won First Prize!! That was a defining moment in his life--it wasn't just winning, it was the excitement and the reaction from the audience that he really enjoyed.
Soon after, Cam started piano, music & singing lessons--and, in less than a year, had written his first song "Lonely"© at the ripe old age of nine.
The classical piano lessons were a great foundation for Cameron, but he had a strong desire to create his own music--and he drove his teachers crazy with his constant improvisations. Luckily his teachers recognised Cam's creative ambitions and concentrated on helping him develop his own songwriting and musical abilities.
And, instead of doing his homework, Cam would be in his room working on his songs. Then one night, using a basic sound editing program on his father's laptop, he discovered the thrill of producing his own sounds.
"I didn't really think too much about it, it kinda just came to me. I played a basic E chord. Then my brain had an urge to play another chord, and I found myself searching for the keys, the notes, that suited the mood I was looking for. I started singing random lyrics until I had a verse, and within a couple of hours I had written and produced a new song, "Has Life?"©. The meaning behind the song being that no matter how hard life gets, or to what lengths it pushes you, life is still worth living.
"Like a withered flower grows in spring, it will get better. All you have to do is wait for your spring."
After, that Cam went on a songwriting frenzy, writing and producing 20 songs in two years--including "Pacè"©, a song he wrote after the Cronulla riots. Cam felt so strongly about this event that he wrote "Pacè"© (pronounced Par-chay--Italian for "Peace, Harmony") outlining the stupidity and effect of racism...
"In your venture through life you may come across the gates of true happiness,
only to find imperfection standing, guarding the gates.
But is it truly imperfection standing there, or you heart's desire for perfection?"
Cam has currently written over 50 tracks.
Even though Cam now really enjoys the range of sounds he gets from his acoustic guitar, keyboards and drums he is continually expanding his musicology and recently saved up for a set of congas.
His parents could have unleashed Cam into the music world at a much younger age, but felt it was important for him to enjoy his teen years before entering the uncertainty of the entertainment scene.
Cameron's evocative lyrics & musical poetry make it hard to believe he is still only seventeen....

== The Third Wheel ==
Cam recently teamed up with bassist Joe Popplewell and drummer Kieran (Goldfish) to create an immensely unique and diverse band; Cam Nacson and the Third Wheel.
The band met at Bradfield Senior College and came from very different musical backgrounds.
Cam of course came from a more acoustic/pop background where as Joe has a great punk/ska influence and Kieran comes from playing heavy metal. Rock doesn't get much more diverse than that... although they did think of getting a screamo singer for the harmonies although scrapped the idea once the pot wore off.
The name "the Third Wheel" came after a joke made by Cam was taken seriously. The three were coming up with names for the band when Cam suggested "Hey, how about "The Third Wheel". Ha! Get it? Cause you guys do jack all!"
A week and one slowly healing black eye later it seemed the name stuck.
Cam does now admit the boys do much more than he gave them credit for.
== Radio Airplay ==
Cam Nacson debuted on Free2Go radio, Byron Bay's official schoolies radio station with his song "She" a song written for his girlfriend at the time Samantha.

Cam and The Third Wheel are currently working with Creative Dreams' Ryan Buckland (RJB) to organise some larger gig's to build their fan base.
The Boys are keen on a Melbourne tour as both Cam and Joe ventured south to the city of (overpriced) fashion and loved it.
"When we walked into one of the shoe shops on Chappel Street the only thing that disappointed me was the absence of their selling of spare undies which i needed at that moment"
Cam Nacson and the Third Wheel will also be involved in such tours/events as Keep a Child Alive and Teens Against Whaling as well as working on doing a motivational speaking tour of schools along the east coast of Australia.
It doesn't take a genius to work out these guys are going places.
Not quite cool enough to be on wikipedia yet though apparently (rejected twice, it’s a pain that never ends). Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
