Camu Tao
Camu Tao (b. Tero Smith, June 6, 1977 - May 25th 2008) was an American rapper and producer signed to the Definitive Jux label. He was part of Columbus, Ohio's MHz crew with Copywrite, RJD2, Jakki the Motamouth & Tage Proto, one half of the duo S.A. Smash with fellow rapper Metro, member of the rap group The Weathermen, part of the Central Services production team with El-P and half of Nighthawks, with Cage, who made one album during a single three-day creative session.
Smith died on May 25, 2008, after a two-year battle with lung cancer. At the time of his death, he was working on his first solo album for Definitive Jux. The album, King Of Hearts, was released in August of 2010 in a collaboration with Fat Possum Records. Read more on Last.fm.
