Carleigh Jade
Carleigh Jade is a rock/pop rock singer from New York, NY, United States.
Carleigh Jade, (born in NYC, April 25,1990) had an early introduction to music listening to her Parent's collection of late '60's early '70's Soul and Rock Albums. She grew up emulating the voices of Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Etta James and other great female vocalists from that time period.
Finding it difficult to "relate" to a lot of the current mainstream artist's, Carleigh stayed focused on developing her own unique style by taking from early childhood influences and mixing it with some more celebrated current sounds. As a result, she has created a unique, powerful, melodic "Blues Drenched to Rock Anthem" voice that must and will be heard!
Carleigh has acquired a substantial amount of singing experience ranging from playing the role of Lola in Damn Yankees, to studying the "Seth Riggs” vocal method while attending Columbia College in Chicago, to getting down and dirty jamming in the streets of NYC, experiencing a long life in a very short 21 years!
Since teaming up with Songwriter/Producer Michael Barile the two have conjured up a bevy of HOT songs ranging from controversial, “in your face hits” like "2 Finger Girl", to beautiful heartfelt blues ballads like "Going In Circles"
Currently, Carleigh Jade and her band (Sean Battista on lead guitar, Spencer Peterson on rhythm guitar, Georgios Pesios on bass, and Michael Hamboussi on drums) have been tearing up the NYC Club Scene, packing venues such as Arlene’s Grocery, Santos Party House, Brooklyn Bowl, The Mercury Lounge and many more. Carleigh Jade and the Carleigh Jade Band are on their way to superstardom. Carleigh Jade is rock n’ roll. Read more on Last.fm.
