Casey & The Pressure Group
Casey & The Pressure Group (1969-1973) were a Dutch instrumental soul/funk band, with organ player Cees Schrama as its key figure.
Heavily influenced by the sounds of Booker T. & The MG's, four of the band's singles hit the Dutch charts, their best known songs being 'Soul Tango' (#25 in 1970) and 'The Heart Of A Woman' (#18 in 1971).
The group released four full-length albums that sometimes featured surprising guest musicians: rockers Peter Koelewijn appeared on Lazybones (1970), whereas George Kooymans and Rinus Gerritsen of Golden Earring contributed to 1971's Comin' Home (a.k.a. The Beast And I). Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
