Ce Ce Rogers
CeCe Rogers, also known as Ce Ce Rogers (born Kenneth Jesse Rogers III on April 30, 1969) is an American singer, musician, and producer from Cleveland, Ohio.
Nicknamed by James Brown, CeCe Rogers is one of the most successful male vocalists in house music.
In 1987 CeCe recorded the track "Someday" in collaboration with and written by Marshall Jefferson. To this day, the song ranks as one of the true greats of the genre. Rated number-3 in MixMags's 100 Greatest Singles of All Time,[citation needed] no other single record is said to distill the collectivist, loving spirit of house music.
Originally signed by Atlantic Records, CeCe Rogers recorded a number of late 1980s and early 1990s club classics and two albums for the label. Rogers now records for New Jersey-based USB Records, which he owns with Jefferson. In 2007, he recorded a new version of “Someday.”
