Cecilia Toussaint
Cecilia Toussaint (México, D.F.; 15 October 1958), singer, dancer and actress. She's one of the representative figures of rock in México. She began her musical career in 1977 with the group La nopalera until 1979.
Two years later she a part of the group Rehilete Mexican-themed marked on a project with Betsy Peccanins and singing songs of Fito Paez, Jaime Lopez, Joan Manuel Serrat, Silvio Rodriguez, Alejandro Lerner, Rosario Castellanos and Edward Langagne.
Her discography stands out as an interpreter of her own songs and composers such as Jaime López, José Elorza, Alejandro Lerner and Consuelo Velazquez.
Cecilia is the mother of two children, first, Mary, was conceived with Alberto Cortes, director of films like: "Ciudad de Ciegos". Her son Julian is a product of her marriage to Alfonso André, drummer for the legendary bands like Caifanes, La Barranca and Jaguares.
She is the sister of Eugenio Toussaint, a famous Mexican jazz musician and creator of the group Sacbé. She comes from a musical family, acquaintances from the artistic Toussaint.
