Chinensis
Chinensis, who's real name is Sean Jiggins, was born in Basildon in the UK in September 1989. He grew up from an early age listening to all kinds of music & at the age of 10, got his first taste of trance music. This in turn, led to him expanding his music horizons & as the years went by & he was listening to lots of amazing tunes so eventually decided to try making some himself. In 2001, he started using Music 2000 but was mainly using it as a bit of fun & no real tunes were made. By 2003, Music 3000 was the next bit of software for Chinensis. With all the great sounds & potential in this game, it wasn't long before he realised what he wanted to do in life. It took time- although he made lots of tunes, they were all, lets say, a little bland! Just as school was finishing he began making much more impressive songs- the first tune worth mentioning was Momentum- a trance song. The reason it took so long for Chinensis to create great songs is because he used to use pre-set loops or just chuck lots of notes together & hope for the best but as soon as he found a sense of rhythm & the knowledge of how to make a good beat, his true potential shone through. The Prodigy was his earliest inspiration & got him onto the path of drum & bass. As he began making really impressive sounding songs such as Survival & Neonfield in early 2009, he knew there was little more he could do on music 3000 so eventually moved onto Reason 4 in October 2009. With the ability of this software combined with the potential of Chinensis & fantastic influences such as Black sun empire, Concord dawn, Current value, High contrast & Noisia to name a few, More great songs were created. If you take in the fact that he still has lots to learn in Reason 4, what kind of tunes will be made in a few years time? An exciting thought! Read more on Last.fm.
