Chook

1. Chook started dj-ing in1995. Being into hip hop at the time, he mainly focused on the development of his scratching techniques. He now preferably plays Tech-step and Neurofunk still including his scratching skills into his sets.
In 2002 he started to get involved in the production side of Drum and Basss and in 2004 he completed a sound engineering course in London. During his stay in London he has gradually become a resident at the DFX nights hosted at the bug bar in Brixton.
In 2003 he was a finalist at movement's yearly competition, which took place at The End.
In 2004 he launched his own imprint Full Force Recordings together with his partner Dj Radic. Releasing his own material, under the name of Full Force or Chook, which gained support by major Dj’s in the scene (Cause4Concern, Noisia, BSE, Phace, Misanthrop, Mayhem...) as well as promoting artists such as Phace, Optiv (Cause4Concern), Skynet, Mayhem, N Phect & Dizplay, State of Mind, Sunchase, Deepulse & Xplorer, N Phonix,Dose, MIsha, Complex,...
2007 is already looking good for Chook. He recently got signed to Shadow law recordings with his acclaimed track ‘Descend’. Tracks like ‘Trainspot’ (video clip: myspace.com/djchook) and ‘Sound of Time’ have also proven the great production and engineering skills that Chook has acquired over the past years. All three tracks have gained great support by major Dj’s( Teebee, Calyx, Optical, Ed rush, Phace...). Recent gigs in 2007: London, Cologne, Berlin, Mannheim, Den Haag, Gent, Hamburg, Rome
2. Chook was a short-lived Australian rock band formed in the early 70's which released one single on the Havoc label.
