Chris & Kathy
Chris Montez and Kathy Young enjoyed a short partnership shortly before the disbandment of their record label, Monogram Records, releasing two singles in 1963. Their first single, "All You Had to Do (Was Tell Me)" consisted of songs earlier recorded by Montez onto which Young's vocal tracks had been dubbed. Notably, the B-side, "You're the One", had originally served as the B-side for Montez' smash hit, "Let's Dance". The A-side of their second and final single, "Shoot That Curl" (b/w "It Takes Two") is considered a minor classic surf rock song. Fittingly, Young was herself an avid surfer. Read more on Last.fm.
