Christian TV
Christian TV (real name Christian Berishaj) is a 24 year old producer and singer-songwriter. Raised in Detroit, Michigan. Taking an interest in music and composition at a young age. He started working on Pro Tools at the age of 12 while writing and recording at his home.
Having written, recorded and produced an albums worth of material and playing local shows in the Detroit area he caught the attention of record labels. At the age of 18 he signed to Atlantic Records as Love Arcade. They released their debut album in August 2006. Love Arcade went on permanent hiatus as of 2008.
Upon going solo, Christian Berishaj of Love Arcade has created a series of blog videos under the new common name for his group, Christian TV. Christian TV has, since 2008, created a multitude of videos, both comedic and musically oriented to entertain the Love Arcade fan base.
In February 2009, life had once again sparked into the group upon the release of their track "1, 2, 3, Turn Around" on the Fired Up soundtrack. This song picked up rotation on Sirius XM Radio Hits 1 in the Fall of 2010 and peaked at #93 on the Top 40 Chart the week of 11/13/2010. It has also been licensed over 200 times including the following programs Jersey Shore, ABC World News, All My Children, Americas Funniest Videos, Dancing With The Stars, Desperate Housewives, ESPN Sports, Extreme Makeover, Greys Anatomy, Hollywood Squares, IndyCar Racing, Jimmy Kimmel, Lost, Meet, The Fockers, Modern Family, NBA Basketball, One Life To Live, Transformers, Wife Swap, Young And The Restless, 24, 90210, American Idol, Family Guy, Glee, House, Simpsons, Americas Next Top Model, Fly Girls, Anthony Bourdain, Beauty & The Briefcase, Biography, Disaster Date, Emergency Level One, Future Food, Giuliana and Bill, Jersey Couture, Kirstie Alleys Big Life, True Life.
In March 2009, Christian TV had started his official web log known as "This Is Christian TV". The release of their web log updated fans with all of Christian's work in the studio, which at that point in time had been mainly on "Drop Dead Gorgeous Jamie", Christian's first major piece of audio and visual work since his work with Love Arcade. This song has also been featured in the Facebook Game "Nightclub City".
During this transitional phase, Christian worked with renown artists such as Italian house musician Benny Benassi, The Used guitarist Quinn Allman, and Luke Walker, who has individually done work with artists such as the Deftones, Tyga, Leighton Meester, Jeffree Starr, Korn.
Having recorded an album worth of material he started playing shows under the moniker Christian TV. He funded a music video with the last of his money for his song "When She Turns 18". This video featured Tess Taylor and Alexis Neiers of E! show Pretty Wild and was directed by David Yarovesky. With this new material a brief and intense bidding war between record labels ensued. In April 2010, Christian TV was signed to Universal Motown records. Britney Spears used Twitter to tell her fans "When She Turns 18" was her favorite song of the Summer and Entertainment Weekly called it a "Summer Smash". "When She Turns 18" was never officially released in the United States as a single. A short tour with the Backstreet Boys followed in Late June-July.
On July 29, 2010 Christian TV made his network television debut by performing "When She Turns 18" live on Week 7's results show of So You Think You Can Dance.
On October 31, 2010 Christian TV released his first mixtape entitled "Who The F*ck Is Christian TV" hosted by DJ Skee free via his website and social networking sites. All tracks produced and written by Christian TV except for one which was produced by Rusko and featured such artists as Name Brand and 25 to Life. The mixtape was accompanied by a video he directed for the track "Let's Just F*ck". During this time he also went on tour supporting Pete Wentz and his new band Black Cards in the UK.
As of January 2011 "When She Turns 18" is officially the first single from "Diary of an 80's Baby" in the UK. The record was added to BBC Radio 1 on January 12, 2011 and chosen as Scott Mills Record of the Week January 19, 2011. The first US single is "Love2Baby" produced by Kevin Rudolf and written with Savan Kotecha impacts radio on February 15, 2011. Read more on Last.fm.
