Ciaran Byrne
Ciaran Byrne (real name: Ross Adey) is an Irish producer who started off as many aspiring bleep warriors do, constructing scruffy appregiated synth runs over drum parts that are so heavily crowded that the sequencer starts to smoke. But since then a lot has changed. After sending a two track demo to Psychonavigation records in 2004, Dublin’s small, but conscientious underground sat up and took notice. Influenced heavily by artists such as Arovane and Tape loop chieftans Boards Of Canada, Ciaran blends absorbing, celestial melodies with unyielding drum patterns and basslines to induce an effect that is best described as triumphant.
