Cinema Noir
Cinema Noir was a experimental band based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The band released 2 records: ”Cinema Noir” (1982) and ”Ø” (1984). The first was produced by the band themself. The latter by Knud Odde, Steen Jørgensen and Hjortur Blöndahl. Cinema Noir recorded several unreleased albums. Most of the images to the left were taken during the recording of one of these. On some of the images you can see Danish avant-garde legend Freddy Frank behind the mixer.
Cinema Noir existed in several constellations. But the core was: Nils T. Lassen, Annette Finnsdottir, Bo Hr Hansen, Mette Salomonsen and Mogens Jacobsen.
The band was very active on the stage in the years 1982-83. In parallel to the band all members were active running other projects. Nils and Mogens started the cassette-tape label “Basedofv” for experimental music, Nils and Bo performed as the acoustic guitar duo “Thyge & Erhard”, Annette and Mette made several theatrical performances at the “Wurst” stage in Copenhagen.
