Circus of Dead Squirrels
Circus Of Dead Squirrels were created by Ripchord, NTL, and Von Boc during 2001, and were heavily influenced by industrial bands such as KMFDM, Ministry, and Nine Inch Nails.
Their first independent release, entitled "Indoor Recess", was released in January of 2004, and was put out on ForaNatioN. The debut featured 10 tracks and was engineered, mixed, and co-produced at Slaughterhouse recording studios by Mark Alan Miller (Out Out, Metropolis Records.)
After an extremely positive reaction from the listening public, they made the crucial decision to form a solid live band and take the music on the road. CODS have now grown into a full lineup of excellent, devoted musicians who are all actively involved with the writing of the songs.
"Outdoor Recess" (the remix album for "Indoor Recess") was released in September of 2005, and features 15 tracks which were all remixed by members of CODS as well as other bands and artists that they have become friends with along the way.
"The Pop Culture Massacre and the End of the World" was released on April 17th, 2007. Since then, an animated music video for the song "Elmo's Last Laugh," a track off of the album, was illustrated by Travis Falligant, who did the artwork for "The Pop Culture Massacre."
CODS temporarily broke up on October 27, 2008, but later announced their reform on January 27, 2009, and are currently working on their upcoming album, "Operation Satan." Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
