Close II You
Close II You was a Dutch girl band. It was created in 1996 by the producers Eeg van Kruysdijk en Ed van Otterdijk by means of audition. In august of that year Natascha Scheffers, Sascha Koninkx, Nadja Nooijen, Sally Flissinger and Marsha van de Berg score their first hit with Nice & Nasty. The group is soon known as the Dutch counterpart of the Spice Girls.
The girls scored their biggest hit at the end of 1997 with their single Baby don't go. The success of the group claimed its toll as Sacha was forced to leave the group at the end of '98, officially 'because of health related issues'. The group continued as a quartet. Although being only moderator successful afterwards, they continued to perform.
In May 2000 Marsha left the group, after which Sascha is asked to return. But only four months after the switch Sally decided to leave the group. No replacement is searched for and in 2001 Close II You disbanded. Natascha, Sascha and Nadja continued as Girls Together Outrageously, GTO for short. Their only single I'll be around was not a success and in October 2003 the girls finally quit.
