Courage My Love
Courage My Love (typeset as courage my love) are a Canadian pop-punk band from Kitchener, Ontario. The band consists of twin sisters Mercedes (guitar/vocals) and Phoenix Arn-Horn (drums/vocals); as well as bassist Brandon Lockwood, who was added to the lineup in 2013 after the departure of founding member David Blake-Dickson.
Forming in 2009, the band quickly gained momentum following a win in a local battle of the bands in early 2010 and an appearance on the Vans Warped Tour. They have also played as support act for bands such as Paramore, Tokyo Police Club and A Day to Remember.
They released their debut EP, For Now, in 2011, through their own label Homeskool Prom. Two singles were released from the EP - "Bridges" (whose video clip has received over one million views on YouTube) and "Anchors Make Good Shoes." An acoustic version of the EP followed in September 2012.
The band's second and most recent EP, Becoming, was released on June 11, 2013. Videos were released for the singles "Cold Blooded" and "You Don't Know How." The band were also nominated for a 2014 Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year; which they lost to A Tribe Called Red. Read more on Last.fm.
