D'ARK~EN~CIEL
D'ARK~EN~CIEL was the members of L'Arc~en~Ciel switching their usual roles and playing hardcore songs. They were set to release some songs as b-sides on L'Arc~en~Ciel's single "the Fourth Avenue Cafe" but the single was cancelled due to the arrest of drummer sakura for posession of illegal drugs. D'ARK~EN~CIEL has since been disbanded and L'Arc~en~Ciel started a new alter ego called P'UNK~EN~CIEL with their new drummer yukihiro.
The project was subsequently cancelled and for years their music was only available through live bootlegs and demo tapes. However, in 2006, "the Fourth Avenue Cafe" was finally released as part of a mass re-release of singles to celebrate the bands 15th anniversary. The single contained a compilation of five D'ARK~EN~CIEL songs; these are the only official recordings released to date.
