DFC
1 - DFC (Distrito Federal Chaos) started to play in 1993 as a punk band in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. After a few years they changed their lineup and started to play a thrash/crossover with hardcore edges (change tags to D.F.C.)
2 - What DFC actually stands for has changed a few times during this Flint, MI, group’s existence: Dope Flint Connection was how they started, Da Flint Crew and Da Funk Crew are a few of the permutations, but the hardcore sound of the group has remained intact. One of the first Midwest rap breakouts, “Ain’t No Future in Yo’ Frontin’” introduced the world to MC Breed & DFC in 1991. The self-titled album that spawned the hit would be the only time DFC would share billing with MC Breed, but the group — Al “Alpha” Breed (cousin of MC Breed) and T-Trouble E — have remained close to their former partner. Their first release on their own, Things in tha Hood, featured production from MC Breed and Warren G and included the minor hit “Caps Get Peeled” featuring MC Eiht. They released a second effort in 1997, Whole World’s Rotten, but have not been heard from since. ~ Wade Kergan, All Music Guide Read more on Last.fm.
