DJ TECHNORCH
Tokyo, Japan (2003 - Present)
DJ TECHNORCH began as a member of HARDCORE TANO*C starting in 2003, as well as working alongside other notable j-core/gabba producers such as M-Project and DJ Sharpnel. In 2005 he started his own label, HARDCORE TECHNIQUE, now known as 999 Recordings. At this time, two of his tracks, "BOSS ON PARADE" and "Gothic System" became popular and heavily remixed by various artists, both in and outside of the j-core scene. In 2007 he began composing for Konami's Beatmania IIDX series in Japan.
Technorch moved away from the UK hardcore sound into more hard dance and hard NRG with continuing releases and developing a unique style. He experiments with incorporating other genres, notably digital hardcore, but works of industrial and power noise have appeared as well. This was marked by his appearance on the Murder Channel label in 2007, which has produced darker tracks and remixes of his work. His album art is notorious for having a similar experimental style, usually being highly abstract and bizarre.
In addition to reaching out to other artists overseas as he has on Murder Channel, Technorch has also become aware of his foreign audience (primarily American) and has made efforts to reach out to them, beginning with first English blog post he made after collecting statistics from his youtube channel. His tracks can now be gotten from his BandCamp and seen on his youtube channel, available from his webpage. . http://www.technorch.com/ Read more on Last.fm.
