DJ Vix
Born and raised in the east of London, with music as his passion and remixing his art, DJ Vix entered the Asian music scene in 1996, forming the award winning Dhol n Bass Roadshow.
Fast track to the present day and the Dhol n Bass Roadshow is now one of the leading and most sought after roadshows in the UK, with DJ Vix showcasing his unique talent at all the major venues and prestigious banqueting suites in the UK. Having performed at all main hot spots in the UK Asian club circuit, including Ministry of Sound, Equinox, Creations, Club Air and China White, DJ Vix performed alongside the cream of the crop in the mainstream music industry with Another Level, General Levy, Rishi Rich, Taz (Stereo Nation), Jazzy B amongst the A-list of performers.
Having dazzled the UK music scene with his deck skills and ability to rock the crowd, DJ Vix has performed abroad across Europe and now includes recent tours of Australia, India and the US to his increasing collection of air miles, pulling in the crowds in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, New York and Delhi (Club Elevate). Taking the step up from DJ to music producer, 2001 saw DJ Vix sign up with the UKs leading Asian record company the mighty Movie Box Records, going on to produce tracks for the likes of B21, H.S Talwar (XLNC) and the international star Sukhbir, all fellow artists for the Movie Box Records.
2002 saw the release of his debut album DHOL N BASS UNCUT, six revolutionary tracks which changed the face of the UK Asian music industry including the ground shaking 'Chit Karda', featuring vocals by H.S Talwar.
During 2003, having been approached by Warner Brothers on a project to produce a track on the 1st ever Asian mainstream compilation URBAN EXPOLSIONfeaturing international artists like J Lo and Busta Rhymes, DJ Vix was beginning to receive the recognition he deserved as a upcoming producer of mainstream Asian beats, with a style identical to none.
The year 2004 saw the release of his 2nd album VIX IT UP featuring the hit track 'Yaar Kure' which went to No.1 in all Asian music charts. Guest mixes and shows followed on the Asian radio scene, for the likes of Kiss FM (the Rishi Rich Project), BBC Radio 1 (the Bobby Friction and Nahal show), BBC 1xtra (the Punjabi Hit Squad show) and BBC Asian Network (with Adil Ray).
Late 2005 saw DJ Vix involved with the very successful bollywood remix project Bollywood Breaks, remixing the heart melting hit 'Na Kajare Ki Dhaar' from the huge bollywood classic Mohra. 18 months on, and a masterpiece in the making, 2007 now welcomes the release of the next smash hit album from DJ Vix's repertoire, the accurately titled Identical 2 None.
