Daisy Door
In 1971 Daisy Door released her first single „Du lebst in Deiner Welt“ which was used in criminal TV-Film episode “Der Kommissar - Als die Blumen Trauer trugen” - transmitted in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Before the film ended phone were ringing at the TV Station (there were just three at that time!).
Even though Daisy Door wasn’t visible (an actress needed to “sing” the song) 500.000 single were sold within one month. She was four weeks at number 1 in Germany. Composer Peter Thomas was playing all instruments. People say it was the first single with just electronic instruments.
What the text is really about nobody really knows. Some people say it’s about drugs (referring to white world), other say it’s just a mysterious dream. I was too young at that time to think about the song.....
Afterwards she released some singles, but none of them became a hit. She is a typical “one hit artist”.
