Dance Nation
Dance Nation is either:
1. The short-lived finnish dance music act founded early 90s by a well-known Amiga/PC demoscene musician Captain aka Markus Kaarlonen. Other band members were Laura Niskanen and MC Carbon D (Sami Häkkinen). Markus is nowadays best-known from the ranks of Poets of the Fall, where he plays keyboards and writes songs.
2. A musical act from the Netherlands, established early 00s. Comprised of members Kim and Sean, the duo are also known both as Double Nation and Sean & Kim.
Dance Nation is one of Netherlands most famous dance duos, well-respected across the globe for their hits 'Sunshine', 'Dance', 'Words' and 'Great Divide'. The producers behind the act are music industry professionals Rob Janssen and Brad Grobler.
In 2010 Dance Nation was re-born, when a new female vocalist Sandrine joined the act. Following the success of their 2010 summer single 'Great Divide', Dance Nation released a new club banger 'Surround me' later that year. With a video shot in steamy deserts of Los Angeles and charming city of Amsterdam, 'Surround me' presents a cooler, darker side of Dance Nation and showcases the vocal talent of Sandrine.
